But why not return it and get the Sony bulb? Or just return it and wait for this bulb to fail?
Bob
I recently bought a non-Sony XL5100 replacement blub from Amazon thinking that all blubs are alike; I still had a working Sony blub as my spare. When I installed the non-Sony blub, the picture began to flicker making it unwatchable. Re-installing the working Sony blub immediately solved the flickering problem. Amazon replaced their blub, but the flickering returned. Now they are saying that the ballast board/power supply is not sending sufficient power to the new lamp, thus causing the flicker. This sounds fishy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
