Question

I need really basic help with the Tamron 70-300 lens

Feb 22, 2012 10:00PM PST

I was recently given this lens by someone who is upgrading. I'm enough of a novice that I need a user's guide! Can someone please give me tips on using the macro feature? I'd like to get very clear shots of my boyfriend's fishing flies. They're tiny.
Any advice for such a situation would be really appreciated!
By the way, I'm using it with a Canon 30D
Thank you

Tamron makes two 70-300 lenses for Canon.
One has Macro feature and the other one does not.
I assume you have the one with Macro feature.

Under normal operation your closest focus is 59 inches.
Never get the target closer than 59 inches from the end of the lens.

In Macro mode the closest focus is 37.4 inches.
Never get the target closer than 37.4 inches from the end of the lens.
