I need help with using a JVC Camcorder GZ-HM 330

Dec 26, 2010 11:26PM PST

Can you tell me where is the best place or who is the best person to get help with the JVC Everio Camcorder GZ-HM 330.
I am having trouble with the details given in the user guide because there are no explanations on what things mean.It assumes that the user is already a knowledgeable user and that you understand everything,.,which I don't.
When I ask in forums if I can do something and am clearly trying to work something out I get really pissed off when people answer questions with "yes you can" or "don't do that" and give no information.

What do you want to learn about?

The JVC GZ-HM330 is a consumer flash memory camcorder that uses AVCHD compression to create MOD files. As with most camcorders, the software in the box is useless - so many folks go to third party transcoders and editors.

is a decent overview.

No, I don't own or use one - but it is not much different from the Sony, Panasonic or Canon camcorders in the same price range.

AVCHD compression to create MOD files.

"AVCHD compression to create MOD files" is a mouthful and frankly I bet that an owner would be upset if they wanted to edit or create a DVD.

BE PREPARED TO LEARN A LOT ALONG THE WAY as there is no "click here" software to do what most people want to do with this content.
