I have a microphone that I want to use for gaming and recording because my headsets microphone is trash, my laptop only have one audio jack which I currently use for my headset, is there any way I can use both at the same time without buying anything over £20

Most laptops have a built-in microphone. However, on my HP laptop that only works satisfactory if I keep my mouth some 10 cm (4 inch) from the screen, which is very impractical. But maybe yours is better.

My son used that adapter for a long time.

His new laptop was the new jack, the headphone and mic was the old system so this is the adapter he used. It did work.
