I need help please!

by ojaggers / January 22, 2008 2:23 AM PST

I have two boys who are very active in sports (indoor & outdoor). I love to get pictures of all the action, but my current camera is just not cutting it. I have two major things I'm looking for: 1)I don't want my pictures to just have a blurry image of them running down the court or field and 2)I want to be able to take picture after picture without waiting for my camera to recharge or whatever it is it's doing. So what I need to know is, what camera is going to work for me? Please help me so I don't miss out on anymore good pics!!! I would like to stay around the $300 range, but I will take ANY suggestions! Thank you all for your time and help.

Some middle price cameras like canon brand have the option of take sports pictures, included some technical benefits like movement sensors or optical compensation and secuencial pictures without flash. Please try this before buy something expensive.

If you were talking about daytime photography, there are plenty of cameras that can do that.

Indoors is a completely different story.

If you want a digital cameras, for indoor action photography, your budget is not high enough.
Plan least $700.

Your best bet is to use a digital camcorder for your indoor action photography.

Point and shoot cameras cannot do indoor sports. Only DSLRs can do it and even then you have to have a fast lens=$$$. A slow lens on a DSLR will still have problems.
