You can make a new partition (with a certain format, like NTFS) in Disc management, but indeed, it has to show there first. It's unclear why it doesn't, if the BIOS sees it.
- You're running Windows 10 from your current SSD and want to add a second one? Why that?
- Does GPARTED see it, if you boot from a Linux disc or stick (free to make)?
I just bought a new ssd, same type and size as my current one. I plugged everything in correctly. My bios recognizes my new drive, however in disc management, no drive appears. I've been seen on other forums that I need to format the drive, but I do not know how to do that, or if I even need too. My motherboard is an msi 970a-g46, and I am running windows 10. Please help
