In order for all other DVD players to read the recorded discs, you'll need to finalize/close the disc using the Recorder's options.. If the disc isn't finalized, then the formatting used by the recorder isn't readable by the other players.

I bought my son a dvd recorder to record himself playing games off of xbox, (on Call Of Duty). He wants to post them on youtube.He is able to record onto the dvd's and play the on the dvd recorder itself. i bought both -R and +R Dvd's but when he puts them into the laptop to edit, its saying dvd is blank. he is on a Dell Laptop, using windows vista. the cd rom says cd and dvd r/rw. Im so computer illiterate and i want to help him but can't. Any body out there willing to help us out??
