I need help finding a program

Jun 1, 2006 7:29PM PDT

My boss wants to put out a computer in our store to access the internet, and I need a program to lock the desktop and settings. I seen these programs, but I cant remember what they were called, and apparently I'm not searching with the right key words. Any help would be great, thanks.

Kiosk mode?
Jun 1, 2006 7:54PM PDT
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22kiosk+mode%22+site%3Asupport.microsoft.com&meta= tells about it. It's only part of the solution, of course. Another thing to search for would be Windows policies or windows policy editor, that allows you to disable functionality from the GUI.

But I also see some interesting looking sponsored links on software for Internet cafes and the like on my original query.

That's all what I can contribute. Have a nice search.

The Microsoft freebie...

I'd suggest downloading/using the Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit. It requires the computer to be running a legitimate copy of Windows XP, but that shouldn't be an issue.

Hope this helps,
John

P.S. What solution did you find?
