and these work well. The LSI may as well. There are some drawbacks to putting CD ROM types on these but not many. These show as SCSI devices anyway. Getting CD ROMs to boot from them can be tricky as can making them visible from boot floppies. You also cannot select which device to boot from on add in cards if you have more than one that can.
I don't like to have DVD+RW & DVD ROM/CD+RW on the same IDE Cable.
Looking for a suggestion on a good card to install. Any recommendations?
I have 2 HD installed 160GB and 80GB, 1 DVD+RW & installing DVD-ROM/CD+RW when new system arrives.
I was thinking about installing LSI LOGIC's MEGARAID ATA 133-2 can it be used for this purpose and is it a good choice?
