I need a new phone, and some help

Mar 27, 2017 10:58AM PDT

Hey guys,

So I currently am on a Boost plan with a family member, which is a perfect plan for me, really cheap, and great coverage everywhere I need to go. I've had no problems with it. I currently have the ZTE Warp Elite and have had it for 2 years, and my only issue is a few cracks that I put on the screen. I have decided that ti is time to get a new phone, but am unsure of which phone from Boost I should get. Not looking to spend a lot of money, so the options in my price point are as follows: LG Tribute 5, ZTE Tempo, ZTE Prestige, Kyocera Hydro REACH, LG Tribute HD, LG Volt 2, Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge, ZTE Warp 7, LG X Power, Samsung Galaxy J3, LG G Stylo, and the LG Stylo 2. I appreciate any help I can get, as I'm just not sure if any of these are quite good for their price point, (which is under $100).

Thank You!

OK, that's a lot of phones to plow through.

Taking your old phone specs to be 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, dismiss all models with less than that and what is left?

I know it was a lot of options, I just didn't know if anyone had any strong opinions about one or a few of them. But i will definitely start doing that to help narrow them down. Thanks

Let me comment on the Kyocera Hydro.

While I'm not sure of the exact model my wife had a Hydro for year. It's an OK phone but I never found a way to silence the startup power on sound. Pretty annoying. The wireless charging was hit and miss as it must sit in just the right spot. So back to plugging it in to charge.

Just on the startup sound alone, would not buy again.

Depends what you use most!

Hello ,

I always believe when buying a new phone you should consider what you need most in the phone.
I would recommend thinking about what you actually use the most.

1. Do you need a good camera?
2. Good battery life?
3. Fast performance? or more on the standard side? (Do you play lots of games and multi task a lot?)
4. Size of the screen? (Do you watch a lot of videos?)
5. A lighter and thinner phone? or don't mind a bit of a chunky phone?
6. Do you store a lot data on your phone? (Storage)

If you know what you want you can easily find a phone that suits you.

As a all rounder I have heard good things about the Huawei P9 Lite. It may be a bit more over your price point brand new but it may be worth it in the long term.
