No slow drives. No HPs.

I own the i15r with the prior gen i5. Nice, not buggy, pretty fast but. But what? That LCD is barely acceptable. Also it's a bit on the flimsy side. I think a student would break it in 2 years.

How about that Samsung 14 inch i5 (prior gen) laptop you find refurb at 499 then pop a Seagate 7200 RPM HYBRID drive into that? Under 600 and you get an aluminum case and pretty darn quick. Yes, I found the RC512 for 750 and have that one. But it's bigger and pushes the price point.
