I need a miniDV camcorder that will work at night and indoor

Mar 4, 2006 11:14AM PST

My daughter is a new cheerleader and I would like something with excellent quality and sound and possibly even take pictures...can anyone help? I have an older JVC model but the tapes are an inconvenience for me!

I just bought a Sony DCR-HC36. I haven't had a chance to really try it out, but it will allow you to take a photo using an optional memory stick pro, even while filming to tape. It has a couple of low light settings, night shot plus and super night shot. You can also film video to the memory stick duo, but you can't tkake a snap shot at the same time.

I have the sony HC-90 and love it due to its great night vision at zero light and quick focus indoors.

You should check out the Sony DVD403. It is one of the best rated cameras for low light and records in Dolby 5.1 surround sound. The video quality is spectacular.
