Cheap Digital Camera

Check out the Sanyo Xacti E6 Camera. It's doesn't get the greatest review from cNet, but for a point and shoot user it's a great camera for a budget. You can find it on eBay or online stores for under $250 shipping included.

After having it for a few weeks, I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with it. Best digital camera I've ever used (been through 3 or 4 generations of cameras already)!

Tall Order

The target price eliminates all of the ultra-thin cameras, and large LCDs.

But it does not eliminate excellent digital cameras.

Take a look at the Canon A610.
Newegg.com shows it selling for $220 (a good price).

It uses AA batteries, but you can buy an AA NiMH charger with batteries for under $20.

Looking for a camera with black and white mode is unnecessary as free software can turn any color photo into greyscale (black & white).
