i need a dvd decoder??

i recently bought and found out my comp has a dvd player but when i click it it said i need a decoder? how do i know if i had one or how do i get a new one?help!

Try this freebie: http://www.videolan.org look for VLC player

Its a basic player but capable for most DVD media, otherwise you need to buy a comm. pgm. to better handle alot of the DVD media out there, but if you play DVD movies(store brought) it will work.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
