I mixed up the speaker wires for a 5.1 system....

by jakeUT / September 17, 2011 7:32 AM PDT

So I have a 5.1 system which I installed 2 months ago. Today when I was checking I noticed that I had the speaker wires for the center speaker connected to one of the speakers on the side and vice-versa. Would this have caused any damage to my speakers or to my Blue Ray DVD Home theatre system?

just reconnect correctly and cross your fingers. Good luck.

Yeah....I corrected the wires and all works well. It was strange but when I first connected, I was surprised that all the stuff that would normally come from the central speaker was coming through one speaker in the rear. Never thought of checking the wiring. Anyway everything is fine now.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
