I Messed Up My Outlook Inbox

I was searching for some old files in Outlook and somehow I managed to create a duplicate of the Qmail Folder, Inbox Folder and all the other folders I had created under the Inbox Folder. I want to get rid of the duplicates and also get my Inbox workinging again. A diaglog box said it was appended and not connected to IMAP.

Any advice and assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Someone did a system recovery and that didn't work, however I was able to figure out what I needed to do to get my Inbox working again and I was able to delete the duplicate folders I inadvertently created.

The only problem now is I am not able to create new folders as sub folders under the Inbox folder. When I go through the simple procedure to do this a dialog box comes up that says "the server was unable to create this folder".

I must have done some pretty strange stuff to mess up my Outlook like this - I have no idea what the heck I did.

I don't have enough IT knowledge to know if I have a recent backup of my .pst file - sorry. Thanks for trying to help.

If you or anyone else has any ideas (a step by step procedure would be the best) to make it possible for me to create sub folders under the Inbox folder again it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

That's new info.

"The server was unable to create this folder" shows that the folder is not on your PC, but on your companies Exchange Server. If I'm right, all you have to do is contact the system administrator (an IT-guy) that manages that server, and ask him to solve the problem. So: call the helpdesk and you will be helped (I hope).
