Question

I'm thinking of getting a laptop alternative what to get?

Apr 11, 2013 3:42AM PDT

So, I have a gaming laptop and I also have a normal everyday use MacBook that I take around wherever I go and i also download movies and music from it. But it's starting to get on in years and i'm thinking about buying a tablet instead of a new laptop. So what tablet would you guys recommend in terms of downloading movies, music and torrents?

None.

If you look at the current crop of tablets you find they don't replace what your laptop is doing. And if you look at the ones that do, you are paying a premium and getting very little in the way of storage and more.

What reason is there for you to pay more for less?

Answer
Try a Windows 8 Convertible

Take a look at the Windows 8 Surface Pro and Sony Vaio Duo 11. Both can be seen at a Microsoft Store for hands on if there is one near to where you live. However they are on the expensive side. Like Bob said...a pure tablet will not replace a laptop.

I'd recommend buying an ultrabook instead of a tablet for such purposes
