It sounds like either the firewall edited your connection settings (and did not set them back upon uninstallation) or remnants of the program remained after the uninstallation. The easiest fix would be to perform a system restore to a point prior to installing the update. You may also want to "check and update your DNS settings." If that doesn't work, give a shout back.
Hope this helps,
John
Hi, I've never posted on this forum before and think that I should get this out there and see if there is solution. I recently installed Agnitum's Outpost firewall and was able to access all webpages then they did an update and that caused a change to my accessing certain webpages like www.wescom.org, pcworld, pcmag and even email on sbc.yahoo.com. I've tried uninstalling Outpost and installed Zone Alarm. Then I went through my IE/Internet settings added these sites to my trusted sites. I've installed other browsers ie Opera, Firefox and Netscape. Each time I try to access these sites no data is transferred. On Opera I can 0Kb and it just sits there. I will also get No DNS on an error page. Can anyone give a strategy or direction to go to figue this out?
