General discussion

I'm not that much of a gamer

However, I run into 2 problems with a Mac:

1. About 95% of my software is written for Windows.
2. Mac isn't cheap and I'm on a budget.

Is there an emulator that allows you to run Windows software on a Mac?

Yes, but...

In early 2006 this all changes. No more Virtual PC. Just boot Mac or XP and away we go.

The Mac "price" is not that exorbitant here. But even if it was, the costs of spyware removal, installing the OS again save bucks for most to even it out.

Cost going down

The pricing of Macs is going down. Not fast enough, but still going down. You can get a very nice system on a student budget. And really, if you think about it, a PC system can get pretty pricey when you start adding in all the goodies.
Do some comparison pricing and you'll see.

Macs are getting more affordable and you can't afford not to have one.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
