How do I check if my network is secure?

You don't... Because it's not. No network is ever completely secure. All you can do is try to manage the risk level. If you do simple things like use WPA or WPA2 encryption, don't use Internet Explorer, and keep up to date with Windows and IE security updates, then you're well on your way.

open the properties for wireless networks

on the task bar right click the wireless icon and then " view available wireless networks " and look at yours . It will say " Security enabled wireless network ) wpa2) or ( wpa ) . Or if not secure it will say that it is an unsecure network
