General discussion

I'm not allowed to view my email attachments :(

Mar 28, 2004 1:58AM PST

Had the computer reformatted last Friday and ever since it came back from the store, I am not allowed to view any of my attachments in Outlook Express. It says "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your email....." . I have Norton Antivirus running - is it to do with this? How do I solve this problem?

Please can you help?

Many thanks, Annabel. Happy

In Outlook Express 6 (comes with IE 6.0) go to Tools/Options/Security and uncheck the option "Do not allow unsafe attachments to be opened."

NAV should take care of them, so no need to have OE in its default prudent mode. Of course, even with NAV running, a prudent user wouldn't open certain suspected emails.
