I'm new to this MP3 player stuff, help me out!

I got a Creative Zen M 30 gig. Here are my questions...

A. When it says it charges in 5 hours and it has been 2.5 hours and it is barely charged... what's up? Does it just take longer the first time or something?

B. Do you need to have the Creative software installed on any computer you want to get files from? Or is it possible to just grab some files quickly from a new computer?

C. What is the best format for music? MP3? It seems to want to use WMA for some reason.

D. The software won't recognize my player, and when I plug it in it says something like "you are trying to use high speed usb over a non-high speed usb." Am I screwed?

A. It takes longer over USB than AC with the adapter
B. No, it should show up as a removable drive in my computer
C. It's a matter of opinion. WMA has a tad better quality, but drains battery faster than MP3.
D. No, it just may take longer to sync.
