I sure wish I could be of real help to you but I do have this gut feeling that you're missing an Audio/Video synchronization signal thay all VCRs use. I know it can be rigged but I'm at a loss to tell you how. MAYBE someone else knows how you can engage a third device to *fool* the VCR into thinking it's getting the A/V sync signal.
I own a Sony P4 desktop. Decided to transfer some VHS to DVD. I connected a standard vcr to my sony cam thru firewire and the RCA plugs to the back of the VCR. I have no problem rendering the ''video'' from VCR - CAM - to computer. When rendering, i hear audio. I try to play it in the pre-monitor window, no sound. Transfer it to dvd anyhow. Even after playing the DVD in win MM and on my home DVD player... NO SOUND. I've checked and rechecked the cables etc. I've tried different software and the results are the same. PREMIE, ROXIO, MOVIE MAKER.
I reformatted my computer because I wanted to start a 'FRESH" start. I'm now using player 10.
Been glued to various websites for the past couple of days before I do something stupid like throw everything off my balancy. I'm a little more than tired at 2am. Totally crazed.
PLEASE HELP ME... If you could email me with some widsom on what could be MY problem, please feel free.
Thanks..
