i'm losing my former window when i click on another website

idon't know how to solve this problem. it started a few months ago... say, i opened a website, when i select to choose another website, it doesn't open on another window but it opens to the same window and i cannot go back to the former website anymore as the BACK button is not active. how do i solve it... could you help me please. thanks
