General discussion

I'm looking to buy a new tv, I'm not sure which to buy.

We already have a 60 inch tv now, but it's a dinasour. I'm looking at the Sony KDF-60XBR950, but there is a problem. My wife works untill 11:00 pm and she never turns the tv off before she falls asleep, so the tv stays on all night. The rear projection tv we have now as stood up well with all the hours on it. My question is which tv would stand up to all the hours it will be on. I know plazma is out of the question. If anyone has any imput on this please respond to this question. Thanks

I did a lot of reaserch on d.l.p. l.c.d and plasma t.vs and I bought a Sony kp-65wx600 rear project 3 gun wide screen 16x9 hi-def unit I paid $2500 for it (real cheap) and I have a picture with great black level and no pixel effect the picture is very smooth and film like Also if the picture tubes ever go they are only $200 each The only drawback is the set weighs a lot who cares. I dont know if sony still makes this set but you can find the same set in a 57" model, also may I recomed getting dish network I have the basic service+ voom+the hi-def package for $45.00 per month Also make sure You buy a d.v.i. interface cable dish supplies componit cables only Also my d.v.d looked nasty so I bought a D.v.d player with d.v.i output and a GIFFEN d.v.i. switcher so I can switch between dish and the d.v.d player and my system looks outstanding would like to hear from you stewart norrie in this chat room good luck
