Resolved Question

I'm looking for a photo editing program

Apr 7, 2014 10:51AM PDT

Good evening,

Could you pls tell me what program would be best for my mac os x 10.6.8 macbook? I need to be able to add text, shapes and arrows, resize and the like. I would also like it to be a free download. I have Picasa but I can't find a way to draw and add shapes, which I need to do.

Can I use another program that will work w/Picasa or do I need a whole different program?

Thanks for your help,

Rita

Preview can do the Text, shapes and arrows

for you, and it's free with every Mac.

Unfortunately it does not Resize but, iPhoto does that quite well and it too, is free.

Once you have done it adding stuff, push it off to Picasa.

Frankly everyone turns to photoshop or why not something from Apple?

I've been surprised by what I see in Calligra. It's at http://www.calligra.org/get-calligra/ and you can see what else it has.
