I'm having Sansa m230 problems

Jan 13, 2006 10:07AM PST

Today I bought a Sansa m230, 512mb mp3 player. I went to install it (computer runs windows xp, home ed.) and the little info bubble pops up "New Device Found" then "Your new device is installed and ready to use". Yet, Windows Explorer shows no removeable F disk, nor does Windows Media Player (10) recognize a device to sync with. Also, in Device Manager, it always shows up as "Unknown Device".

I thought it was just a bad player, so I returned it for another, but the same things happen again.

*What am I doing wrong?

I have a SANDISK SANSA m250 with the same problem; I suspect a system registery text editing will fix the problem but I haven't found one, yet....I guess it's back to the www.sandisk.com site.

m250 - trouble listening to WMA book
Nov 19, 2008 10:47AM PST

When listening to a book with a very long chapter - over one hour - my m250 keeps looping me back to the beginning of the chapter every time I turn it on. Anyone know how I can start again where I left off last time? It's set on continuous play, not on loop. Does not happen with shorter chapters. Thanks.
