I'm still learning all that I didn't know about this
. Your talking about things I haven't discovered yet at least not well enough to have a intellegent conversation about but, I'll tell you what I have Steve. I will say I miss my old VU meters and a reel to reel. I had much more control. Anyway I'm up to about 130 GB of tunes so far and I'm loading them as wav. files just using the Dolphin file manager, installing to a music file. Tried all of the above players as well as Clementine and Audacious. My only beef has been the constant differences in the playback volume even when I use the Repaly Gain . So far it's a draw between Amaroc and Clementine. I don't understand why when I have on my headphones the volume stays pretty constant but over the external speakers the volume is a PITA , always up or down. I ran a few songs through Audacity and that's way more involved than I wanted to get. I would note though, some of the cd's needed special attention and had to use Audacious to open the files and than copy and paste them into the music file. Im also copying these files onto an external HDD and can play those files with WMP on my Win 7 laptop . I don't think this post answered your questions but, that's where I'm at.....Digger
