Since you have Norton A/V in the system you could use the Norton power eraser, which should be downloadable from their website. If you Google Trojan. Maljava you should be able to locate a fix for the issue, using Norton. Another thing you could try would be to download Malwarebytes, boot the system into Safe Mode with Networking, run a MWB scan. At the end of the scan, click on SHOW RESULTS, if the bug appears, if present it should appear tagged in red, click remove. Typically, this would be done in Safe Mode with Networking, the Norton power eraser would be run in the same mode.
Hello,
My Norton Internet Security just discovered a Trojan.Maljava. I'm not really sure what this is and what I should do. It has supposedly been removed, but I'm still scared about what it might have done before I found it and if it's still there. Should I reinstall the operating system?
I'm very concerned about the security of my passwords and other information on my computer.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you,
Richard
