Yep I know what you mean about Real Player components.
But it may not have been FF. Real Player is the sneakiest dammest thing I have ever seen. It insinuates itself onto systems worse than some viruses, and all you have to do, (meaning your son), is to click Yes instead of No somewhere in the many options that popup when it is being downloaded/installed, and Hey Presto! you've got the lot.
Good luck. Maybe you won't have to trash the computer under a 10 ton truck to get rid of the pest, ![]()

it is pissing me off !!!!!!!!!!!
or "when is a plugin a plugin???"
my son used my computer a couple of days ago, when he was finished, i had an extra program guzzling my precious resources...
he had been informed by FF that to watch a news video he needed "a real player plugin", he may not be a "freak", but he knows what a "plugin" is, and, i admit, that until now, i knew what it was also...
unfortunately, FF thinks that saying "yes" to a real player plugin is saying "yes" to a full real player install.....
i am, as i said before, pissed off at FF!!
