You are describing the Lightscribe technology, which requires the purchase of specially-marked Lightscribe CDs and DVDs. The reason is that Lightscrbe works by causing a chemical reaction with reactive dye that is only present on one side of those custom-made disks. They are more expensive but can be found at most electronics stores and even some major retailers such as Walmart.
Hope this helps,
John
I just purchased a a Samsung DVD writer. It has the ability to burn labels on one side and movies, songs, or anything else you want to burn on the other. My question is how do I know what DVD+R DVD-R to purchase. It would have to be a two sided DVD and so far the only one's I have seen clearly say "one sided." So I am confused.
Appreciate any help you may give me. Peace, Roger
