First of all, congrats, that's a very cool camera and I'm tempted to buy one despite the criticisms and that I really can't afford it. Questions . . .

What do you think of the
1. picture quality?
2. flash?
3. memory card type (what size did you get, what'd it cost, etc)?
4. battery life (did you get an extra? what'd that cost you?)
5. Does it do audio only recording (as in, you could record a lecture or an interview)? I didn't see that in the specs, but noone but me seems to find it an important feature and sometimes it doesn't get mentioned on cameras that have it.

Thanks!

1. picture quality?
Amazing. The Super Marco mode it awesome. Outdoor photos are really crisp and clear. Indoor photos are good also

2. flash?
This is one of the weak points of the camera. I was overall disappointed with the flash. Most of my shots were fine but the ones that really needed flash were not so great.

3. memory card type (what size did you get, what'd it cost, etc)?
The Memory Stick Pro Duo is not my favorite. (Expensive, only works on Sonys) I recieved at 256 ms pro duo card as a present so I am not sure what it costed

4. battery life (did you get an extra? what'd that cost you?)
I didn't buy an extra battery. The battery lasts long enough so you can shoot all day then charge it at night.

5. Does it do audio only recording (as in, you could record a lecture or an interview)? I didn't see that in the specs, but noone but me seems to find it an important feature and sometimes it doesn't get mentioned on cameras that have it.
It doesn't just record audio. You have to take a picture then you can record up to 30 seconds of audio.

When I bought the camera a screw came loose in the lens so I returned it but I bought another one back for a cheaper price.

Here are some pictures taken with the camera.

I would recommend this camera but beaware that the flash it not good and there is no just audio recording.

The link is defective and can trap Windows Explorer and cause you to have to leave the internet to recover.

The second link is to a huge photo. Dial-up users should avoid it too.

Darn, just when I was starting to narrow down my choices (ExZ50, X50, or S5i) you make the T1 sound so good. Still, I need audio recording so I think I'll pass. I'm very impressed with the fly picture though.
