I bought a stunt kite a few years back at the beach but can't even dream of doing anything like that.

Hi Diana...Kite flying used to be my favorite pastime. And..

...I found out in rather short order to reliably keep a kite in the air was two necessities...sufficient breeze and a tail long enough to stabilize the kite. The breeze part became self evident rather quickly, but the tail part was a more daunting project. I never dreamed the tail would be as long as required...so I crashed a lot of kites in the process of learning just how long to make the tail...to short and the kite is unstable...to long and the kite won't fly with the wind you have. The more wind you have, the longer the tail needs to be.
