Question

I have samsung galaxy s and I love it. My son put some

Jan 30, 2015 10:19PM PST

Shows on usb for me to keep me entertained. The usb plays the shows perfectly on my windows rt. No probems. I'd rather use the samsung though, so I bought an adapter for three samsung and the shows play well, oodles picture etc except the sound! No sound at all. How do I get sound and what app will enable me to convert whatever to have sound. It has to be compatible with the galaxy.. Ideas or solutions would be great!
Also I keep getting a pop up that says. Unfortunately, Samsung Galaxy has stopped.
OK. and it's on a black screen?????

Some incompability, it seems. So a lot of difficult questions:
- what do the shows come from?
- what file extension?
- what video and audio coded?
- what program does play it OK on Windows?
- what app on the galaxy does not play it?

I'd try if vlc player (free download both for Windows and for Android) plays it on both devices.

Try VLC Player (nod to Kees here)

It can avoid all the research on encoding, transcoding, "what formats does this play" and more.
