I have problems related to Sony Walkman, please help!

Jan 11, 2012 8:25PM PST

Hello,
1.I've had this Sony Walkman NWZ S545 for about 2 years and when I bought it, there was 14.7 GB
free space in it. But today I formatted it and found out that there was
only 11GB free! I use MediaGo to transfer music and it tells me that
Storage Capacity is 11 GB but Space Available is 14.7 GB, what does this
mean? How can I fix this?
2. I want to drag mp3 files into the Walkman just by copying and
pasting. I used to do it, but sometimes (for example NOW ) error pops up
and tells me 'There is not enough free space on the device', in fact,
there is whole 11GB free! Please tell me how to copy and paste mp3 files
into my Walkman. (I have Windows XP)
3. MediaGo tells me there are some songs left in my Walkman (after I
formatted it) and their total size is 276 MB, but when I open MUSIC
folder, there are NO files, so I can't get rid of them.
If you know the solution for any of these 3 problems, pleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaase tell me! THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE!

The only clue I have is that you FORMATTED this drive. Ask Sony how to format this thing.

not enough space

When you copy and paste I do know that the total size has to be under the total space available, for example if you have 11GB and you are trying to move a lot of files it won't "fill it up to 11GB" then stop. It just says can't do it.
When I am getting near capacity If I try to load 6 songs and it says full, then I try 5, then 4 etc, til it works. Hope that helps.

Also if it says it found 14.7 on your drive, but capacity is 11, don't worry about it, just fill it up!, Hard drives probally can't be exact. Oh and the 276mb that is still on there after format is the program that sorts and displays your music, so the thing will work. It's in a different folder. I tam pretty sure they made that where you can't delete it.
