Dec 11, 2005 5:46AM PST

I have been told that its junk. I know there is a lot of freeware out there that is really good. How do you determine the good stuff from the bad. I want something that will stop crap from comming into my comp, scan E-mail, and check for viruses and spyware. Did I miss anything? I am using a HP with XP SP2. I just D/l Firefox to start using as my browser. Thanks for any advise you can give.

Good On Ya !! FF with Sun Java Will Help. Be Sure ...

Sun Java is servicing BOTH browsers by ticking boxes in browser tab (Control Panel>Java Plugin). To avoid Javabyte Verify, I unticked the ''enable caching'' box under Cache Tab.
Here's a link to a page that has a good selection of clean, legitimate protection programs. Note and bookmk/favorite Spyware Warrior link at very top of page for refrence( of ROGUE programs). All programs in following post are safe to use. I hope all links still current.:
