I have News

May 19, 2007 8:18AM PDT

Dad is back in the hospital, they are not sure what is wrong but they are running tests. He is hoping to be out in a few days. I spoke with him this morning and he sounds good, he says the medicine they give helps with his happy mood.
Please keep Rolway in your prayers and when I know more I will let you know. Dianne

His posts are a ray of sunshine! When I see his name, I know I will come away with a good feeling.

He always shows respect for others, as well.

He has remained on my prayer list, and will continue to be. When your Dad comes to mind, it always brings good thoughts.

Looking forward to his return!!!!

On second thought, maybe that wouldnt' be a good idea -- a dragon smiling? hahahah! Well, maybe he would take in the spirit it was given...Along with my best wishes.

Dearest George,
May 20, 2007 9:18PM PDT

Please get well soon. Mind what the doctors tell you, and don't tick off the nurses. They have access to all kinds of torture instruments! "Oh, I'm so sorry Mr. Rolway! You mean you didn't have an enema scheduled for 2:00AM?" Grin

You are always in my prayers George. Hope you are feeling better.

Dianne, you are a wonderful daughter.

and you are out of the hospital in the next few days. That "happy mood" medicine works, maybe they will give you a good supply when you leave there.

Back Home Again..
May 23, 2007 9:12AM PDT

I'm back home again after a little RR in Disney land. I had a choice, go home with in home and out patient therapy at a closer location or into Re-hab for 2 weeks. Done that, did that and figured if I go back in Re-hab with all those pretty therapists, I would really have a melt down. So I'm home. After many X-rays, Cat scans, & MRI of the back, it was determined acute arthritis in the middle and upper spine and an old compression fracture at base of the spine. L-12 I believe. Thank the good Lord there was not any Blood Clots floating around the lungs. I'm sailing high on Prednisone, Oxycodone, Lidoderm pain patches, Mussel relaxers and a lot of swearing. Talk about mood swings, these are the grand daddy's of them all. I won't be on these long, once I can get the edge off this constant pain and spasms. All this crap they toss into you is OK for a few days, but I'm not going to be walking around like a zombie doing the old mans shuffle for very long.

Thanks so much for all Prayers, Get well wishes and Caring thoughts extended to me during this recent Hospital visit. I really appreciated it. It lifts your spirits to know you have many friends out there that care. Friends I have never met, but feel like I know you all. Good People I call it. Thank you: James, Glenda, Terry, Cindi, Grim, Roadrunner, Roger, Jonah, Sasha Tee, Angeline, Dragon, Marcia, EdH, & John. My daughter says thanks too. Shes right out straight working a lot of overtime and studying for an Auditor position. Sunday morning is about the only time she has for the computer.

George. (btw. I have a prescription for a Scooter. Once I decide on what I want and modify it a little, watch out Wally-Birds. here I come ) Grin

Yeah, oh boy. Jim can grab one of the store scooters and we'll do some drag racing up and down isles. I can hardly wait.

The one I'm looking for is very light and folds up so you can put it in the trunk. If I can't handle it or its not fast enough (important) I'll get a bigger one. trade in the merc. and get a Mini van so I can throw a couple of planks out the side door and away we go. Come hell or high water I'm getting one.

George Happy

Late to the Welcome Home!
May 24, 2007 1:26AM PDT

Sure was a fine morning when I saw your post!!

Then I had to walk my dog, then eat my bran cereal, both important morning tasks. Happy

Sorry about your proven diagnostically vertebral problems resulting in constant pain. I have a strong family history of the females developing the same, and so I thank God that medication came along in time for me to avoid it.

A scooter sounds like a good plan!

You exemplify the saying, "You can't keep a good man down!"
