I see in a previous post that you said you were not using any anti virus tools.

Even though IE is now fixed, and even though you are now using Netscape, you need to do the following;

1] Install a firewall,
2] Install update and scan regularly with an Anti Virus program,
3] Install, update and scan regularly anti spyware programs, (note the plural. You need more than one generally),
4] Install, update and scan regularly an anti adware program,
5] Update Windows regularly for security fixes.

Not to do so, in these days, is insanity.

when you're infected. Netscape is not bullet proof, period. Sites can download while you visit them, cookies can help infect, email will contain script, pictures can have code.

Keep us posted. The Virus and Security form is there when you need them.

I'm trying to say this tongue in cheek, but your reasoning is just plain stupid. According to PCWorld magazine and their site, and I quote, "A year ago a PC could be infected in less than fifteen minutes, today it's less than fifteen seconds regardless of the OS or browser". This is in reference to surfers with no protection. It was an interesting article.

Good luck, you'll need it.

Brilliant.

Hackers, virus writers, trojan, worm, spyware writers.

They "love" people who use computers like you do. Unprotected, not updated, your type of computer is their test bed.

Excellent m8.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
