Read http://www.avchduser.com/articles/JVC_Everio_mod_files.jsp to learn more about where the files are on this camcorder.

Be sure to read where EXPLORER is used and how the file extensions are shown.

"If you unable to see file extensions in the Windows Explorer, it means
that the Explorer hides them from you. To display file extensions open
Explorer, select Tools from the top menu, then Folder Options. In the dialog box select View tab, and turn off the option called Hide extensions for known file types."

Answer
So many questions.
Dec 4, 2011 5:41AM PST

1. What Program?

2. I ran into this a few times. The camcorder was sill in a pause record mode and the video file was not going to show up till I hit stop.

3. Does this model let you look directly at the HDD of the camcorder? If so, why not copy it over manually?

As I can't know if you are using Windows Explorer and if you know to show hidden files, your next call is to Sony.
