that will allow you to setup a guest on your wireless network. You can set a password for it. Also dual band routers allow you to connect at 2.4 ghz or 5.0 ghz. Each band will show up as network. Alos you neighbors may be within range and show up when you search for networks.
Okay so I got home this afternoon and my phone wasn't connecting to the internet so I went under my available wi-fi connections and clicked on our network but it said it was an open network (which we have a secured network set up) and I thought it was strange but I used it anyways but it wasn't connected to the internet. Curious, I went into our router ip address on Chrome and the settings I had changed (just the SIDD and the encryption key) seemingly had gone back to the factory setting so I reset them to what they were when I changed them and then our secured network came back to what we were used to. My problem is that when we look at the available wi-fi connections now, there's still that open network that I came home to. It's like it's a different network completely. Honestly, I don't know what happened when I was gone but all I know is that now, I have my secured network that can access the internet but there's some odd other network that has the same name but is open and doesn't connect to the internet. Thanks for all your help!
