Question

I have a Samsung 3 French Door Refrigerator Model RFG 298 S

Nov 1, 2018 1:23PM PDT

It occasionally leaks water underneath the Refrigerator on both sides, in front of the unit, all on the floor, and on the top of the 3rd door lip.& gasket. Most of the water is on the floor. I thought it was because the drip pan underneath the refrigerator was full but when I inquired with Samsung I was told it didn't have a drip pan underneath.

Has anyone experienced this problem and if so do you have any suggestions on how to correct this?

Answer
I have to disagree.

All the fridges I've seen have a drip pan to catch the usual condensation and most of the time that evaporates off and does not require emptying.

A tech should check it out since a leaky seal could let in moist air, the water would condense and then the pan would overflow as it can't handle that.

This issue happens to almost all fridges so while it's not an epidemic issue it's something service folk know to look for.

But this varies with each model. My reply is about dozens of fridges I've had over the years. My family calls me for many issues including this one. I shared in hopes you could avoid a service call or to maybe mention to the tech a possible source of the problem beyond "spillage" in the fridge.
