General discussion

I have a problem with Firefox running from my USB drive.

Feb 9, 2009 8:16AM PST

At my Dad's house I run Firefox from my USB drive because I don't want to mess with any of his setting and I want my own. Whenever I change something in mine (on the usb drive) it does the same to his on the hard drive itself even though they're in different locations.

What the heck is up with that and how can I stop Firefox on a USB drive from effect another one on his hard drive? Can anyone tell me how to stop it?

I tried the one from portableapps.com and it didnt work. After looking around the internet it seems the problem is that it's keeping all of my settings and bookmarks in the "application data" folder on the hard drive instead of on the usb drive. It has to do with a profile or something?

you will need to create a new profile to test with once the apps setup properly.
