Clarification Request
Device Monitor?

I'm not sure what that Device Monitor is. Can you tell us more?

Since printing usually takes place from within some application, eg a word processor for documents, or image editor for images, and so on, which application is it that has stopped working?

So please tell us more.

Sure you can reinstall Vista, but will the programs work again? We can't say. At the very least they would need to be installed themselves, but without knowing any history we can't say if there are any underlying problems.

The good thing is, since this is a Dell, you have a Service Tag for it, so you can visit the Dell web site, input your Service Tag and get a load of information, guides, recovery guides, drivers and so on for your specific machine.
