i have a dell lap top i bought 2 years ago. A friend

of mine bought a Apple mac pro. They are switching their cell phones also to Apple. Is there is differance in computers?Cell phones? Do I need to think about switching over to a Apple Mac Pro for home use too?

You don't need to switch.

But if you want to, then there's nothing stopping you from switching except your own circumstances and requirements.

unless the Apple products provide something you need that your current products do not.

Think of it this way. If these friends bought a Mercedes automobile would you feel compelled to switch brands or is your present vehicle adequate to your needs? If they traded in their MTD lawn tractor for a Craftsman lawn tractor would you feel compelled to do so too or is your present lawn tractor adequate and getting the job done?

On the other hand, if you and these friends spend a lot of time on each others computers you might want to get an apple so you are comfortable with using the computer too.
