There are a number of pages in the discussion so READ THEM ALL. A number of driver updates were attempted and it worked for some and I would recommend updating the chipset, BIOS, and video drivers....but Pages 5 and 6 discuss the SATA Intel Matrix Storage Manager update which seems to fix the issue.

I have a BSOD problem on my Windows XP? The error name is STOP 0X00008086(0X00000000,0X00000000,0X00000000,0X00000000)
Lately today I turned on my XP PC and I went into my profile user. Then I was on the computer for 5-10 minutes and then suddenly it got into the BSOD mode. I didn`t play any game or anything I just tried to open the internett. That worked totally fine.

There was no other information about this on the blue screen. But there was some information when I turned the PC on again and the normal restore message came up like everytime when the PC crashes, but exept that the computer worked all fine afterwards.
I use a Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3 Dimension 8400
