I had an e mail from AOL

Feb 11, 2007 9:23PM PST

To tell me that Vista isn't compatable with AOL. You have to send for something to download if you want Vista so even though my computer is compatable ( I did the check ) there is no point in my buying it until I change my isp.

Just thought I would mention this e mail in-case any of you have AOL and are wondering why you have a problem xxx

That's the wrong way of putting it.

They should have said "Out AOL-programs aren't compatible yet with Vista". And considering there have been beta-versions of Vista around for 9 month or so, that's pretty stupid of them.

Or maybe you understood their message wrongly. "Send for something to download" is rather uncomprehensible. Are you sure they didn't say "Out AOL-program is (of course) compatible with Windows Vista, but you've got to do a small download first."

And there's always the possibility that the mail is a scam. Can you post the full text of the mail, so we can read the mail itself in stead of your interpretation?

AOL VR

There is a "Vista Ready" version of AOL. I just installed it for someone on their new computer the other day. Go to AOL.com, hit the "Download AOL" link at the bottom, then there should be a link for it. It will come up as "AOL VR" when you launch the application.
