The song "Bells of Rhymney" was recorded by Pete Seeger shortly after the mining disaster and the words, apparently, were those of a Welsh poet whose words were inspired by a previous mining incident. So much history is recorded in this rather cryptic manner that I'd think it nigh to impossible to assemble to find the pieces and assemble the puzzle by future generations. While other folks were snapping up Beatle's albums, I bought Pete's stuff. Today's music is something I find to be little more than a wicket assault on the auditory nerve. ![]()
