Repairs often cost more than a new laptop so get estimates. As to you fixing it, you start taking courses in electronics and more until you are in the business. But zero money repairs? Rare.

Well, I did a stupid thing and decided to put my laptop on my bed, and thinking nothing was going to happen, it slipped off and fell on it's left side when the charger was plugged in, and now it works just as good as it did before, but it will only work when it's plugged in, I have No warranty, I have No money, and it's a Gateway brand laptop.
