There should be a jack on the back or side of the laptop that is either a 'line out' or headphones. The 'line out' jack is best but it is not amped. You speaker kit should have an amp, that is, be powered. If you plug it in the wall, it's powered. The headphone jack will work too. Plug the audio (usually colorcoded green) plug from the Logitech speaker kit into one of the laptop audio jacks and make sure the volume is turned up on the taskbar volume icon.
I do not yet have the speakers that i want, but they are the logitech z2300 speakers (2.1 speaker system). I do not need them to be hooked up to a dvd player, etc, but i would like to plug it in to my laptop. There is a lot of stuff about left and right RCA jacks I think they're called and other wires, plugs, and all sorts of other confusing stuff!!!! What do i need to get the best sound out of them and to be able to hook them up to my computer (an amp, certain ports on my computer, etc.)?
Thank you so much, and I'm sorry about being no naive about this!
