Gotta know more about this
May 21, 2007 9:29PM PDT
"A team of Argentine scientists found the drug helped hamsters recover up to 50% faster from forward shifts in their daily time cycles.

However, the drug only worked in conjunction with light therapy,.."

Just what does that mean?...in conjunction with? Does the drug just help the hamster when in session with its shrink? Happy

your mysterioso posts tended toward the putdown. Maybe you didn't realize it.

I understood what Steve was saying. He might have been joking or not. I answered in a lighthearted manner. Somehow that makes me an idiot?

Yes, I read and understood the article, and I know the geography of the US quite well. What of it?

- Collapse -
did i call you an idiot? "berate" you?
May 22, 2007 5:40AM PDT

no!

i didn't read your post as lighthearted, i read it as if it was written by someone who had missed the joke....

dpruner said "I don't actually need it, you understand, but I do a lot of flying"

so, having read the article, and thinking that LA to NY is possibly the longest eastbound flight in the US, i posted as i did....

i hope that was clear enough for you?

I know what the problem is.

You're more of a graphic artist than a cartoonist.

You know, you draw Spiderman, Superman characters as opposed to Bugs Bunny and Duckman.

It's just a matter of the initial literal meaning(s)
May 22, 2007 3:33AM PDT

that can be applied...accompanied by a smiley to indicate a weak attempt at humor. The word "light" has several meanings and is often (mis)spelled as "lite". It can mean "not heavy" or it can be the opposite of "dark therapy" which, itself, can have multiple meanings. Dark can be absence of light or it can mean to be macabre, etc. Because the spoken was transfered to print, verbal inflections that add understanding are lost. It was, again, weak humor and why I'm here at SE and not SNL. Happy

Of course it could also be said that the interrogators at Gitmo were using light therapy to extract information from detainees.

I took it to be either literal or joking..
May 22, 2007 3:37AM PDT

and I don't think it matters as far as my response went. Why Jonah decided to use it to berate me is a total mystery to me.
